Hanging of the Greens

The evening of the first Sunday in Advent is the traditional time our church has decorated the sanctuary in preparation for the holidays.

Sunday, December 3

5:00 PM

Invite your friends and neighbors to attend this meaningful start to the season. A reception will follow; please bring goodies to share, and reach out to those who might be visiting with us that evening.

Annual Mission Offering

The annual mission offering for 2018 begins in Advent and runs through Pentecost. Special envelopes will be available .

Community Meals

mealOver 35 members have volunteered to help community meals the last Tuesday of each month. Our first meal in January, 2014 was the night of a winter snow storm, and still 15 people walked to the church to be greeted by cheerful hosts and a warm meal. Now we are serving as many as 120. If you would like to help prepare, or serve, or clean up, contact Linda Pulliam.  Donations of money are needed to keep providing this ministry. Help us continue the meals.

Dr. Curtis Freeman was the preacher for the service. Dr. Freeman is Research Professor of Theology and Baptist Studies, and Director, Baptist House of Studies, Duke University Divinity School.
